Terms of Use

These terms are the agreement between you and Carcine (developed and operated by Anıl Ünkaya, anilunkaya@gmail.com) for using the Carcine app. By creating an account or using the app you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. How we handle your data is described separately in the Privacy Policy.
1. The service
Carcine lets you upload photos of your own car and turns them into short, vertical (9:16) cinematic videos generated by AI. You pick a template, we render the video on our servers and notify you when it is ready. You can also, optionally and after giving explicit consent, add a selfie so the video shows you as the driver.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Carcine. The selfie / driver feature is only for people aged 18 or over.
- Sign in with your e-mail address, Apple or Google. Keep your sign-in method secure; you are responsible for what happens under your account.
- One person, one account. Do not create accounts for someone else or use automated tools to create them.
- You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete account).
3. Credits
- Each render costs credits. Credits are consumable: once used they are gone.
- Credits are deducted when a render starts. If the render fails on our side, the credits are refunded to your balance automatically.
- Credit packs are sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play at the price shown in the store. Credits are not refundable for cash, except where the law requires it. Refund requests for purchases go through Apple or Google.
- Credits have no monetary value, cannot be transferred to another account and are lost if you delete your account.
4. Pro subscription
- Pro is an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly). While it is active you receive 3 credits every week.
- It renews automatically at the price shown in the store until you cancel it. Cancel any time in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings; we cannot cancel it for you.
- After cancelling you keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for. Credits already granted stay in your balance.
- Prices and what Pro includes may change. Price changes are notified according to App Store / Google Play rules; if what Pro includes changes, we announce it in the app. If you keep the subscription after the change takes effect, the new terms apply.
5. Acceptable use
You may only upload:
- photos of your own vehicle, or a vehicle whose owner has given you explicit permission;
- a selfie of your own face, or the face of an adult who has given you explicit permission.
You may not:
- upload photos showing a licence plate that belongs to someone else;
- upload or create content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, sexual, violent, deceptive, or that infringes anyone's rights;
- use the app to impersonate a person or to mislead others (for example presenting a generated video as real footage in a way that harms someone);
- try to extract, copy or reverse-engineer the AI models, prompts or templates behind the service, or overload, probe or abuse our systems.
Our automated review may reject a photo or selfie, and we may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
6. AI-generated content
- Every video Carcine produces is synthetic, made by an AI model. It is not real footage of your car and it does not show anything that actually happened.
- Outputs may contain visual artifacts, distorted details (wheels, badges, plates, faces) or things that do not match reality. We do not promise a particular result.
- If you share a video, you are responsible for stating that it is AI-generated where the law or the platform requires it — for example, Türkiye's advertising rules impose disclosure duties and certain restrictions on some AI-generated content in commercial communications.
- Do not use a generated video to claim something false about a vehicle you are selling or advertising.
7. Your content and licences
- You keep ownership of the photos and selfies you upload.
- You grant Carcine a licence to store, process and send them to our service providers only as needed to generate your videos and run the service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account. Backup copies are purged within our provider's normal backup cycle.
- You may use the videos you generate for personal and commercial purposes, as long as you follow section 5 and 6 and the terms of the platforms you share them on.
- We do not use your uploads or your videos in our marketing without asking you first.
- The app, its templates, design and software remain ours. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on your own devices.
8. Changes to the service and termination
- Carcine is a small, evolving product. Templates, AI models, prices and features may change, and some may be removed. We try to announce important changes in the app.
- We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms or if we must do so by law. If we close the service entirely, we will give reasonable notice so you can download your videos.
- You can stop using the app at any time; deleting your account ends this agreement.
9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
- The app is provided "as is". We do our best to keep it running, but we do not guarantee that it will be available without interruption or free of errors, or that every render will succeed or look the way you expect.
- To the extent the law allows, Carcine is not liable for indirect losses, lost profits or damages arising from how you or others use a generated video.
- Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for Carcine in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
- Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be waived.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. If we have a disagreement, please write to us first; most issues can be sorted out by e-mail. Otherwise the courts and consumer arbitration committees of Türkiye have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules of the country you live in.
11. Changes to these terms
When we change these terms we update the date at the top. If a change is important, we will also tell you in the app. Continuing to use Carcine after the change means you accept the new terms.
